A Mindset Reset on Growing Older
Updated: Mar 7
Ahhh, youth. It seems as though all things are possible when we're young. We dream of what we might become. We see the future as full of possibilities and potential.
However as the years go by it can become easy to think there's really no room left to dream -- no time for becoming anything but old(er). The youthful promise of wondrous transformation fades away.
But that kind of thinking is bullish*t. It's a trap. And when we buy into it we stop showing up fully for life. As a result, our bodies grow achy and stiff, our hearts grow heavy, and our minds and spirits grow dull.
The truth is -- you can continue to grow and improve at any age. And its the disconnection from that truth that causes the problem.
Each day you can make the choice to reclaim or forfeit more of the wondrous you you were born to be. Its your choice. And each moment is a chance to choose again.
And all its takes to begin reclaiming more of your potential is, in the words of Arthur Ashe, to "Start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can."
So why not begin?
