It’s easy to get caught up in all the breathing techniques that are promoted these days. I know. I’ve studied and practiced many of them.
And most all of these breathing techniques promise to make you healthier or fitter or less stressed — promise to make you a better you. And you might find some of these techniques helpful.
But what if I told you that you are already designed to breathe perfectly. You are designed to breathe wholly + fully. You are designed to live wholly + fully. All it takes is making the choice to return to honoring your design — honoring you.
And yes, there is the chance you might feel disconnected from how you are designed to breathe. Maybe even disconnected from yourself. I get that. I’ve been there. There are many reasons disconnection can happen: trauma, stress, illness, habituation, pain…
But finding your way back to how you’re designed to breathe is as simple as having the willingness to show up each day and make the choice to express your design. To reclaim your design. To reclaim you.
And sometimes it can be helpful to have someone who can remind you of your wholeness — how you’re perfectly designed to breathe + be. I know this to be true because I’ve had amazing teachers who did just that for me. No techniques — only breath.
